Timeline for Seniors
 
Fall:
  • Retake ACT if desired score has not been reached
  • Visit schools you are interested in
  • Meet with your School Counselor
  • Apply to at least 3 colleges/universities as soon as possible, before Thanksgiving break
  • Keep up the hard work in your classes
  • Volunteer and Participate in Extra-Curricular Activities
  • Start Searching for Scholarships
  • Complete the FASFA with your parents. You will need to create an FSA ID.
  • Complete your Housing Application to each college you are considering

Spring:
  • Fill out scholarship applications - online (Fastweb.com) in the counseling office, through your parents workplaces, organizations you are affiliated with, churches, etc.
  • Receive FAFSA information from each college you are admitted to. Compare offers.
  • Decide on your college by the national decision deadline: MAY 1st!
  • Pay your enrollment confirmation to your final choice by May 1st!
  • Accept or decline financial aid offers
  • MAKE SURE YOU ARE PASSING ALL CLASSES and earning your 28 required credits!
  • Chat with your School Counselor
